i just bought Planet Earth on DVD and let me say that not only is the filming incredible, but the music is phenomenal. i guess it was written by George Fenton and recorded by the BBC orchestra. i'm just encouraging everyone to check it out if you haven't already. wow

I received this as a Christmas present and haven't got round to watching it yet so your post has reminded me to watch it soon. I'll pay extra attention to the music.
Thanks for the reminder, Keith!

The Blue Planet, and its spin-off film, are also great outings by George Fenton. I long ago got to the point where I know every word of the narration, but I still watch it just to listen to the soundtrack again.

I've seen a lot of documentaries but my girlfriend and I are in love with this one. And you are right, the music shows our mother in all its glory.

We watched the entire series as a family and you are right. Everything about the series was incredible. We ordered the DVD not only because it was amazing but because we will always support great efforts like this one.

Couldn't agree more - spell-binding, both the filming and the music.
