One difference I have noticed between 2.5 and 3.

Seems like there is less complaining about compatibility and stabilility. I have GS3 and GVI. The only thing I can say about GVI is what took them so long?
I've always had luck with GS 2.5 working on all my systems while many did not.It seems though that Tascam has really improved upon making their new apps more stable.

I, for one, never had troubles with GS3, or GVI, for that matter.

When? Not sure. I got the sense that Tascam won't name a date until it's all but shipping.
