Creative Commons Use of NON-Sample based Synths

Hey all-

I'm wondering about the use of NON-Sample based synths in Creative Commons licensed works. Obviously, for hardware, this is ok, but I'm a little fuzzy on software synths. The principle is the same, but I'm wondering if there's a gotcha somewhere in copyright land.

Anyone care to chime in?
