Burning master CDs

One of my CD burners has a problem -- the CDs it burns won\'t play on most machines. Does anyone know whether the CD/DVD combo burners will reliably burn so that they can be read on all other players? Or should I stick with a CD only machine?

Hey clueless:

I can\'t speak to the general question. But I can tell you that both my Panasonic DVD burners burn CD\'s that seem to be universally readable... even by my 13-year-old CD changer.
