Hi Everyone
Ok, I bought Altiverb and I did not realize it was not going to function well on my DAW.
Here is my specs first of all.
I have a Intel Core Duo 2
2 Gig Ram
XP
350 Gig Harddrive
SONAR Home Studio XL
GPO
I was playing around with GPO and Sonar and assigned some FX reverb to a bus. I then reverted my VI through the bus, etc, etc. Everything is flawless with Garritan Ambience Reverb and Sonar's built-in Reverb.
I then tried to do it with Altiverb, and o my goodness. I can hardly play 3 notes and the latency goes bonkers and it is completely messed up.
Am I doing something wrong ? Or is this just what can be expected when you are using only 1 machine to do the recording and sequencing on.
Or maybe, is it a case of doing the reverb at the very last before final mastering.
Hope someone can share some light.
ALtiverb is VERY cool and I have used it with audio recording. But that was something completely different.
THANKS TO ALL YOU MIDI GURUS that give so much advise and help !!
What a awesome forum with awesome users !!!
Thanks
