HI,

How much is the GS latency? On my system it seems to be a bit too much!
Is there any way (setup) to decrease it?

I run the GS 1.6 on a Pentium2-333Mhz/dedicated UDMA drivw <9ms, 512KB cache/192 MB Ram/SB Live/Winman 1x1 Midi Interface

Hi,

I have no latency problem, even not with high polyphony. I think the sample starts are being pulled out of your memory anyway. So it is very unlikely to be your processor or hard disk (or ram).

The SB Live has no good reputation with GS. Refer to old posts in this forum and talk to tech support.
