Hi... I\'m about to purchase gigastudio so I can get the sweet upgrade price for 3.0
Here is my question... Ive seen a real sweet deal for GS96LE... So im wondering what this LE is? Can I upgrade from it? Ive even heard someone say that LE does not even exist. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
GigaSampler LE became GigaStudio 96 When GS went to v2.0. 96LE probably means GS96. LE is long in the past.

ok... so.. if someone is selling a bundle with a soundcard and GS96LE... does that mean it in fact is GS96 or does it mean they are selling antique stuff?
Actually you will have a full Gigastudio 96 version.
I bought it myself.

It is upgradeable (I also did upgrade to GS 160) and I bought it from Thomann.

Now thats awesome... you know if it matters what language I order from.. if they ship from the same place? I\'m guessing you got it from Germany?
Iīm not too sure what you mean.
I got it from Germany and I know at least one person who ordered it from spain and received it. If you need more information Iīd be glad to help you.
PM me.

Hey,
I\'ve got to raise my voice also. Holger. first of all thanks for your help in the past. But I believe you had very much luck with your purchase & upgrade option. If you go to thomann & look for giga-upgrades you will find a position that is an upgrade from GigaSTUDIO LE to 96. In the end it won\'T get you more cheap if you wish to upgrade to 160 and further. I even called them. They REALLY mean from GigaSTUDIO LE (NOT Gigasampler). Sorry to say
Harry
Hey Harry,
strange because I did an upgrade to GS160 as mentioned above without any problems. I got two of the Egosys Gigastation bundles and registered both via phone at Tascam. What you get is a full working GS96 version without limitation. I donīt know, maybe Thomann is now aware that they sell a full version and try to make money out of it with charging an \"upgrade\" from LE to 96. But have a look at the Gigastudio website. You wonīt even find a Gigastudio version named LE, only Gigasampler LE. I guess even Thomann donīt know what they are actually selling.

PS.: Oh yeah, I didnīt bought the update at Thomann. It were the fine guys at Bestservice who got that deal.

The bundles weren\'t even bought at the same time and one of the cards was the one with midi and the other the one without. It IS the full Giga96 version that is bundled with that card. BTW, when I asked Thomann about what version is bundled with the card before I got it (I of course was sceptic since the price is pretty astonishing) they answered that \"in our view there is no difference between the version bundled and the full Giga 96\".

The key is that they be fully upgradable versions. Some bundled Giga products are not upgradable. If they have a product key, they should be upgradable. If not, they would probably not be. That is what I\'m am told anyway.
Cheers
Dave
David, agreed!
The product we are talking about do have a key so they are indeed upgradeable.
Thanks for clarification.
Best
