I say do an Anthology 1 and 2 bundle! Yeah, probably not a good idea since you already GB'ed Celtic Winds. I'm just bitter I couldn't afford the last group buy. And with a new mixer, monitors, a couple more slaves, and a room tuning in the works... gah, group buys are my only hope to snatch any libraries before the New Year.

And I want Anthology 1 and 2. :)

Badass! A company group buy! Nice. I don't think I've ever seen that before, as a GB is always for a specific product or group of products. Except maybe Worra, but his group buys are kinda like one-product GB's because he mostly produces (or, rather, is most known for) pianos (and damn good ones, at that).

To be honest, ASW is too new to be included in the group buy. I think we can add it though but LDi and DSynth will not be included. Besides, they are not retail ready.

It's great for people who don't already bought ASW, but frankly looking at the release date of this product and looking at the same thing happening with other libraries, it's now clear to me that I won't buy a library on release anymore and will wait for a group buy......

If everyone took this logic with only doing GroupBuys, then all the companies making sample libraries would go out of business.

And on a consumer perspective, holding your breath for a GroupBuy on a certain library would be quite nerve wrecking. Some companies rarely do them, if at all. The other thing with GroupBuy's is they last a month, so the waiting for the product after signing up can be nerve wrecking too.~|

If there is a certain library you really want, by all means, pick it up. Your support goes to worthy cause and helps future development:)

jazzobizz: What's more about GB is that a GB never takes place on new products. In the sampled world, it does play an important part (as well as tons of other things) to have a sound that other people don't! I mean, can you imagine you having the personal Hans Zimmer Library? You could rock, only for that reason!

so it really makes sense for some people to get the libraries when they come out! Especially the ones that, you know, won't have any bugs, or plenty of updates etc...

I personally don't buy like this, because my projects and gigs are more orcehstrally oriented, and I'm find as I am... And thus I buy on a need bases. but still, you see, I hope, what I mean. :)

I don't take that like an offense and yes if everybody wait for groupbuy the companies will go out of business.Frankly I always buy stuff because I need it but sometimes I'm tempted to buy a library because I think I "could" do something with it but can live without and I'm sure I'm not alone;for these kind of purchases, if you or other companies put a recent product like that one on a groupbuy, I really think a lot of people will be tempted to wait just a little bit to get it at a discounted price......

One thing I wanted to point out about this GB. As stated, all of the above is a voting process. Believe it or not, we do take a big hit when we offer products at such a discount. OK, I just got a gig accompanying some singing masterclasses tomorrow, and, because we're currently in the black, my wife says the money is mine to do what I want with. A group buy is when a developer offers his product at a discount if a group of x number of people agree to purchase.

Often there are various stages to it, like follows:

0-10 participants: retail price $100
10-20: 20% off $80
20-40: 40% off $60
>40: 50% off $50

The developer will collect the max discount purchase amount (in above example $50) as a deposit. When minimum is reached or at end of group buy (or other specified time) the product will actually ship - and any remaining owed money will be collected. So if you joined the group buy and put down $50, but only 30 people joined, you'd still owe another $10.

And usually it's a single product.

I am currently not using any of your products, but if you are offering the 50% as part of a group buy, I would commit to buying Anthology 1 and 2 and Giovanni as part of the group buy and then most likely Anthology three at full price when that comes out, assuming it is in a similar vein and price range to the others.

I am in the same position of Alan. I do not quite yet have the know-how, set up, experience to widely use samples, but I have a collection of them that I have purchased at discount. I would probably not perceive any of the Anthology libraries as high priority, and would not normally purchase them at full price. But I have a hard time passing up a discount, so if you have a group buy, I am very, very likely to invest. I purchased another Bela D. Media product many months ago on discount,... still haven't used it, but I'm glad that I own it.

So... having a group buy does help sales since many of us who would not ordinarily make a purchase will in fact purchase at a discount.

You certainly will not be dissapointed with any of Bela Ds titles.

Just go to their website or another like www.timespace.com and listen to Diva or either of the Anthology titles.

Attention to detail shows when you even get the breaths of a player of the wind instruments!

Eduardo Tarilonte really put his all into these two Anthology titles and the keyswitches are very easy to use.

I could post tracks of my own that use these title, but I feel this would not be right.

Hi everyone, I haven't been around here in a while and saw this thread. I voted yes as I've been planning on picking up Spiritual Winds.

I wouldn't mind a group buy now. I think the timeframe proposed would not be bad. As it gets closer to the end of the year I would be focusing more on Christmas shopping, etc., so I think October would be a good window.

Really, whatever works for everyone and allows more people to take advantage. I know I'll be getting Spiritual Winds either way, but if it might help others by adding 'points' to a gb I'll wait and see how this develops. :)
