Hello,
I know it's come up before but I cannot find it ...
Can someone recommend some good reverb impulse responses, possibly free ones, to use for convolution reverb (specifically SIR I.) on a large symphonic orchestra in GPO?
The style - imagine Star Wars or Planets.
Thanks, Matt

Very cool, thanks!!
wow, the guy on http://www.xs4all.nl/%7Efokkie/IR.htm (section "Mouth") looks like he's committing suicide over an impulse :D

It sure looks destructive! :) Has anyone tried out that impulse?

There are many great impulses that an be found at www.noisevault.com

I mainly use the 350seat and 1800seat impulses found in Real Spaces, but for a Hollywood sound, some of the other impulses (Lexi ...) might be better.

Incidentally, these are some great suggestions, I'd just recommend you also bear in mind that it's not uncommon for "Hollywood orchestras" to seperately dry-mic every instrument and use multiple reverbs, and also to change reverb envelopes depending on the style and dramatic importance of the music, so you'll probably wind up doing both of these things if you're serious about "that sound."

The reverb will be for my Xmas song final mix. There definitely won't be time to get into that much details, come to think of it it'll be a miracle if I manage to finish it at all. (hint: on my avatar pic :) )
