Registration problem.

Yes, you are completely right. Sorry, I was at the store and had to attend to a customer.
When I click on "Register now" a window pops up with "Cannot open browser".

Try downloading and using the NI Service Center program to do it.

Like Reegs says; nowadays you should use the Service Center (http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=freeupdates_us) to register with. Be sure to use the latest version.
