GSEdit - Adjusting volume of sample instruments BEFORE layering?

Hi,

Layering two Garritan string instruments... One of them is a little loud in comparison to the other. How do I change the overall volume of one of the instruments before combining the two?

You can adjust the attenuation before layering but you can also adjust it after you combine them as well. YOu would select all the regions but only the layer you want to adjust in the dimensions area and change the attenuation at that point. Either way, it is attenuation wich is found in the mix/layer tab.
