A few audio Linux distros. Have you installed and tested any of these?

http://64studio.com/

64 Studio develops a distribution of native free software for digital content creation on x86_64 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD64) hardware. It's based on the pure 64 port of Debian GNU/Linux (http://www.debian.org/), but with a specialised package selection and lots of other tweaks. We also produce custom versions for our OEM partners (http://64studio.com/oem_products), and a 32-bit edition for legacy PC and embedded hardware. Curious? Read what People Say (http://64studio.com/people_say) about 64 Studio.

I'm delighted to find this forum, and topic, having just converted our home office PC to Mandriva linux (2008.0).

Looking forward to learning what, if any, of this audio software is mature enough to lean on. Presently I use DP and Logic8 on Mac.

Thanks,
Trond

Ubuntu Studio: http://ubuntustudio.org

A distribution, based on Ubuntu, aimed for those into audio, music, video, or graphics. This is what I have installed :)

I would also mention that whilst aimed at those into audio, music, video or graphics, Studio also has everything else one would expect from a 'normal' distro such as internet, email, office etc.
