I have SAM Solo Brass, and while the core sound of it is awesome, the playability isn't, and it's time-consuming to construct the parts I want (in Logic EXS24.)

Has anyone made any tweaks to the library, to better handle note repetition and include the legato sampling available for some instruments?

I spend a week to remap all the wonderful SAM Brass Libraries.
I put all the articulations in one instrument with keyswitches.
But its only for Kontakt, if you own K2, I could send you the .nki files

Here is how it sounds:

BTW, I did the animations too for a show in Paris.
The original in stereoscopic Full-HD

Chris, is there a way I could get those nki for SAM brass as well?
Thank you.

OK, I've checked it with SAM, but I don't want to post a link,
so please send me you email adress, I'll send you the .nki files.

And please, sign emals and PMs with a real name.
Usually I don't answer to mails without a name or something like: "regards, P."

I've sent you a PM too Chris - but it's just to say hello, how are you - and I bet you're glad you did that. :D

Woohhoooo! :wow: During the landscape I thought it's just a great track, but reaching the view across south Paris from the Eiffelturm (01:43) gave me some really good shivers. :p I shouldn't have used my headphones, it's knocking the music right into the brain. :D Great track, Chris.

Couldn't resist - the violins sounds like the String Essentials itself, but what is it?

Hi Chris, also sent a pm. I've been looking for something like this since I purchased the library.

Just curious, why did you check with SAM? I take it you don't distribute any samples and the programming is entirely your own. So how could it be a license violation (if that's what had you worried)? I don't own any SAM libraries, so I don't know their license wording.

You just have me slightly worried, since I program the Westgate Modular series for my own use and thought it would be OK to make the .nki's available for other people. I never thought it could be a license violation, if no samples are distributed.

Great animation, btw. :)

Nickie, Chris is a well known library developer too. Don't you think it's a bit strange when he starts to reprogram other developers samples, even without any conversation? :D ...Not that I ever thought he needed a permission.

Nickie,

What kind of re-programming have you done for the Westgate instruments? Have you added keyswitched instruments?

Plenty of KeySwitches, Jim. I like my sample libraries the one-patch-do-it-all virtual instrument style.

You can get an idea of what I am aiming at here (http://www.foenshauge.dk/eng/pro_musika.htm). Mind you, it is a work in progress.

Looks pretty cool, Nickie! I only have the French Horn library so far and my only complaint is that the programming is pretty plain. Looks like your filling in the void.
