Its the first time Kontakt-Player2 libraries are available as downloadable
single instruments including the full version of Kontakt-Player2.
After buying the first “module” as a Virtual Instrument including Kontakt 2 Player
and Serial Number, you can expand this library with other instruments as Add-Ons
for a reduced price - why pay a second time for a player you already own?
An Add-On delivers additional sample content but does not include the player,
which is always part of the first instrument, you buy.
Please notify: the instruments have to come from the same library
and can not be mixed between different Modular Libraries!

Does the individual basses include the Kontakt player?
Is there a way to get the instruments and samples for a lower price, without the player?

The first instrument you download includes the player and the authorisation for the library and the add ons.
Each further instrument has a reduced price of 79,00 € / 116,60 $ and contains only the instrument and sample files.

If you prefer to play the basses in K2 or K3 you don't need to use the player
but you have to have it to authorise and register the instruments.

I am only interested in the Upright bass. But if I understand correctly, for 89 euro you get the upright with steel strings, and not the nylon and gut string versions. So, if I would buy those '3 basses' it would cost me 89+79+79=247 euro... The complete version only costs 100 euros more for 3 extra basses. Maybe I should have a look at the VSL upright bass. Only 1 type of strings, but 7GB samples for 75 euro...
