They have not released anything in some time, and their website is defunct.

Are they still around, or did they go out of business?

Its more likely that their server is temporarily down. Thats my unsensational guess.

Could be overhauling the site for a huge release at NAMM:samurai:

(I'm no insider...just guessing!)

They are not out of business. They are rebuilding their website and they will be announcing new SAM Exclusives soon.

It appears the new website only has a "Shop" -- i.e. they don't have a Product section where you can just browse for information. I don't like that.

It looks like the product info is now in the shop area off to the side on the right. What I can't find are the demos they had of the libraries.

well how difficult could it be, it say right here on the front page :

"Welcome to the brand-new ProjectSAM website!

You're looking at the new website of ProjectSAM Cinematic Sampling. Product information, support and online store are now integrated into one easy-to-use site. Your personal information, registered products, downloads, updates and order history are now available from a single ProjectSAM account.

A little hidden actually... top right of the page, in the image, you should see the word Demos. Click it and you'll get a list of demo songs.

I prefer a more traditional website where they have a "Products" section that provides all information, and a separate "Store" where one can purchase.

With the integrated Shop/Product information, the site is primarily geared to buying with lists of products. One has to make a number of extra mouse clicks to see any product information, and that product information only takes up 1/3rd of the webpage.

I haven't used the SAM trombones and SAM horns libraries for a long time and I recently started using them again after importing them into Kontakt 2 (from Gigastudio). The libraries I have are 16 bit. Are these now available in 24 bit? Was there an upgrade?

From the FAQ on the same site:

s there a 24 bit version of SAM Orchestral Brass?
No, we do not have plans to release the SAM Orchestral Brass in 24-bit.
