Sugguestion of purchasing a sample library

I'm currently owning Garritan Personal Orchestra and EastWest Symphonic choir, and looking for a library that provides electric/acounstic guitar and bass, drum kit and more percussion, keyboard and possibly something extra that would fit well with Sonar LE that i'm using.

Actaully i'm considering Garritan Jazz band and EastWest Colossus. Well that's the two sampler that i know which provides those instruments.
Heard of BandStand, it's really cheap but not sure what it is.

Any suggestion of what would be the best library to get?


Another question is : would sample library fits well with each other?? Such as those from Garritan with EastWest.

If you're on a Windows platform and willing to consider adding a VST instrument that comes with a huge library I don't think there's any better value out there than the current Wusikstation group buy. ($59)

I buyed Wusik 3 in a group buy but think it is broad but not deep. Yes it has a big variety of sounds to choose but the single patches have not many layers or expressive reaction to different playing. Maybe it is just me but I replaced everything after a while.

For Drums, Bass and Guitar I like Ministry of Rock because they recorded the instruments through real amps and in a very good quality.

There have been some significant upgrades for Wusikstation Version 4, and advanced playback techniques such as keyswitches and round robin are now possible. Having said that you are correct that much of the included library doesn't have the complexity and expressiveness of some pricier Kontakt and Giga libraries. Those sorts of things can now be achieved on Wusikstation with some work. There are also some remarkable third party libraries available.

And it's $59! (Roughly equivalent to 4.5 Euros I believe.)

Actually I like the manytone stuff which is somehow related to wusikstation. Our forum member gregjazz has released a nice bass library for it.
