Question about expression/volume pedal

Hello Everyone,

I have done a search and came up with nothing, so please forgive me if this has been asked before.

I just purchased the Garritan Gofriller Solo Cello and installed it fine. I am using a Studiologic SL-990XP 88 key midi controller with a Volume pedal, mod wheel and pitch wheel. My volume pedal is internally mapped to cc 7. I know that in order for expression messages to be sent it should be mapped to cc 11. Therefore I am certainly using a volume setup as apposed to an expression setup.

When I use the volume pedal, I notice the volume on the kontakt player gets adjusted. Does the expression message (which I can't send) do something other than adjust the volume of the Kontakt?

On A pc with Sonar, I use this MFX plugin to convert CC7 to CC11 with my Studiologic SL880 and volume pedal.

I figured it out. Thanks.

Nuendo4 has a feature called input transformer. I was able to switch cc7 to cc11 with that. So luckily I can use the cello with my sequencer.
