There has been quite alot of demo links posted recently, and to be honest it\'s kind of hard to search for them. I am proposing a forum just for user submitted links to their demos, music, etc. Each post would simply be a link to a demo. That would make it easy to track comments, suggestions, etc.

or
Subject: Demo - \"Piano Library\" by Joe Blow
What\'ya think people?

Maybe we can posts these links in the \"user demos\" area of this website, it seems to have run out on server space so it doens;t accept new demos, but links don\'t take up any space, so maybe there is a room for organised demo links there?

I checked that out, it looks like it\'s not in typical \"forum\" setting so we couldn\'t post our own links in real time. Plus when it\'s in a forum it makes it easier to search, and you could get feedback from other users, etc.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a defined area for user music links: that way we could get user feedback from people who actually care and at the same time it would not seem like we are tooting our own horn too much, and out of context at that.

Oh, I forgot. Also adding one other area for those completely OT discussions would be nice too.

Papa Chalk,
Excellent! It would be cool to have a forum for demo links only. And with the added value of threads for feedback, suggestions, that would be very valuable. I hope this gets added to the forum soon. Oh yah, don\'t limit it to GigaStudio demos only. Make it generic so any sound byte can be posted. Thanks!

...And if there was a general music area, I could say things like, say, if you are a fan of \"Tuesday\" of \"That 80\'s Show\" (she is SUCH a babe), then don\'t miss Marilyn Manson\'s excellent remake of \"Tainted Love\"...that\'s \"Tuesday\" in the hot tub with Marilyn. ...rrrraaarrrr....

Actually the Manson video \"Tainted Love\" is for \"Not another Teen Movie\", and features much of the cast.

New Northern Sounds Composers Vote Site
Hi all! We are very excited to present to you our new Users’ Compositions Upload Area. We encourage all to upload and share with the rest of the world compositions created with GigaStudio. This area is equipped with a voting system which allows users to interact with each other; giving their ratings and comments on compositions submitted. The point of this area is not to down trod, but instead provide a source of constructive criticism. Ratings will be averaged across the entire user base and a top ten section will reflect those with the highest kudos. Remember to have fun with this area. Use it to better your craft, as well as to gain insight on others’ perspectives.

Sadly, I fear this new \"feature\" will die a slow death. If this was an \"acid\" or techno/dance site, etc, sure you would get a bunch of kids excited about \"my new song is in the top 10\". But I REALLY doubt anyone here is going to use this. Possibily a fun idea, just the wrong crowd.
