Apple QuickTime 7.4 Has Problems!

Apple's QuickTime 7.4 has disabled the save function of my sequencer(Metro)
and I've read that it's causing problems elsewhere.

This is the Mac side. I don't know about any problems with Windows.

I would recommend not installing QT 7.4 until it has been updated to 7.4.1. or higher.

Luckily for me I still have my old DAW for back up. :)

Well, about a week ago, I received an alert from Carnegie Mellon advising update to 7.4 (Windows and Mac) because of multiple vulnerabilities in previous versions. Looks like I will wait a while. It is a long download, and I am not fond of Quick Time, so I can wait a long time.

QuickTime 7.4 has also broken Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

It was changing my sequencer file types to QuickTime file types.

The work-around was to use a file utility and change it back. Then you could save although a dialog box would come up with an error -54 message. To save as you had to make a copy in the finder.

My developer has released a fix for it with an update to the sequencer.
