Sound card hassle

I have a brand new PC. With Windows xp Pro 64 bit. I just want a deceant soundcard with asio and GSIF 2,that runs on the operation system. What to get?

Your choice will be determined in the first place by the type of connection you wish to use i.e. PCI, USB, Firewire.

Then in the second place by your I/O options especially by the number of audio I/O. If you require a large amount of audio I/O, you may want to consider an ADAT hub.

Try looking on manufacturers sites for more info
