Donnie,
I\'ve sent DS Soundware several mails over the last week or so and never received a reply. So as you seem to spend a lot of time here, I thought I\'d try again....

I\'ve been talking to Scott at Big Fish about the upgrade from UOP to
LOP and in a recent mail he said.....

\"Technically, it\'s not ok to keep a copy of UOP. You are foregoing the
license to use the
sounds when you upgrade.\"

I seem to remember on this forum you indicated that it was OK to
keep a copy of UOP.
Can you confirm whether it is or isn\'t OK to keep and use a copy of UOP
after upgrading to LOP.

Brian,

I\'m sorry for the delay....Our provider is in the process of switching out new page over to a new server so we\'ve lost a bunch of emails. I\'ve been having to use my hotmail account for the past week or so.

Technically, you can\'t keep both BUT that decision is left up to you.... http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif

OK, I assume that means I have your blessing to continue using UOP once I\'ve upgraded. Sorry to be pedantic, but I don\'t want somebody claiming piracy when it isn\'t.

You wont want to go back anyway...trust me...the library is good and worth the extra quid

I\'ve avoided upgrading to LOP partly because of this - I don\'t like the idea of being unable to use a library I\'ve *purchased*. (Except that I have some sort of unofficial blessing.)

Those who have LOP and UOP - is there anything UOP has that LOP is missing?

I\'m using LOP for most stuff now. I still like to use the older timps from UOP as they have more body for some pieces. The balance is off on some of the LOP timp sounds on the highest velocity layer. Some notes are noticably quieter than others for loud passages.

I have UTimp + LOP so I dont have any problems, I guess, in my decisions here

If you heard the arguments of late on other threads...well use your own judgement from the mp3\'s. I personally find all the timp samples AOK with LOP
