GPO for Finale, Kontakt Player 2 - use with Cubase SE?

Finale 2008 includes the Garritan Personal Orchestra and Kontakt Player 2, which works fine (with Finale).

Can I (and exactly how?) use them within Cubase SE?

At this point, when I go to VST Instruments setup, GPO doesn't show anywhere (I have copied the Garritan directory to the VST Plug-In directory in Cubase, the Kontakt directory is a separate directory in Program Files.

Any advice? Thanks.

Hi

The version of GPO that comes with Finale is essentially an 'LE' version.
It will not work in any application apart from Finale. If you want to use GPO in other apps, you will need to get the full version.

as far as I know, the Finale-version instruments are Finale-only.
They are a cut-down version of full GPO (fewer instruments, pretty much the same ranges, same quality), usable only within Finale itself.

This is not true. See the following post for some how-to information about using Garritan Instruments for Finale outside of Finale. There are at least two of us that can do it, so it is possible.
