Someone with the Steinway already at hand.. I have limited HD space and I'm thinking of which perspectives to install.
Can someone say which of the micing positions would most accurately correspond to the micing position used in GPO Steinway because I like the ambience used in GPO Steinway?

I can't answer the mic'ing question, but I might suggest an
external hard drive. I have all my G.Steinway samples on
an inexpensive USB drive, and it runs great.
250G drives can be had for as little as $65 these days...
PriceGrabber (http://computers.pricegrabber.com/hard-drives/p/11/st=filter/popup1[]=155:393/sortby=priceA/popup2[]=2:394).
This is the one I use: SeaGate FreeAgent 250G (http://computers.pricegrabber.com/hard-drives/m/32673090/st=product/sv=title/).
Figure I'm running a two-and-half year-old machine, and
I'd assume this would work well for most folks.
Hope that helps!
Best,
David

The GPO piano was recorded with Under the Lid microphone placements. So the Under the Lid perspective in the Authorized Steinway would probably be closest.

etLux, thanks for your answer! I actually already have an external hard drive, but I want to have few micing positions installed to my internal hard drive so they are with me all the time. I'll probably install the rest of them to the external drive like you suggested.
Gary, thanks! :)
