Folks, I just received confirmation that my credit card had been billed for the Steinway, so I know it is on its way.
I was wondering if you all could give me some advice concerning installation options. I have a 3G Intel P4 processor, 2 G of RAM, and large fast hard drives.
Should I install the 24 bit version or the 16 bit version? Will I have the horsepower to be able to use the 24 bit version with Sonar 7 Producer edition?
I'd rather have the 24 bit version, but if my machine is not up to snuff, I guess I would rather install the 16 bit version than have glitches and drop outs.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Which model of Intel processor do you have? Is it a Pentium IV, Core 2 Duo or one of the other models in between? 3.0 GHz speed is very different from model to model. A Core 2 Duo is about 4 times faster than a P4 at the same speed.

You can try the 24 bit version by just loading one of the perspectives and playing with it. If CPU usage is too high, then uninstall the 24 bit perspective and go for the 16 bit versions. BTW, the 16 bit version still sound excellent.
