An Acrobat I am not for sure! Working on my roof replacing a few shingles that came off during a heavy wind storm over the winter and did something stupid! Ya see ... we have a trampoline the boys use everyday and it is set up quite close to the back of the house. So, to make a short fall, long. My 13 year old step son who is quite versed at the trampoline decides he wants to jump off the lowest point of the back of the house (which is around six feet) and onto the trampoline. He tries it once and succeeds. He tries it several more times with no problem and it starts to look easier to me every time he does. So, guess what? I decided to try it thinking, Hey this can't be all that bad, right? WRONG! Off I jump feet first into the center of the trampoline and wham!, my whole body compresses like no bodies business and I am in total pain! Sill am even after a night in the emergency room and back home with tons of pain medication and a neck brace. :wow::o Talk about STUPID!
Well, anyway I didn't break anything nor rupture any discs in my spine. However, the ego has suffered quite a bit especially having my wife and thirteen year old witness the whole freaking accident!
Now, I'm going to take a pain pill and lay down for a year or two. Think about this crazy ace while your woiking on your next piece. When I get around to it my next will be titled, "Disaster on Mosside terrace!" :D

Ouch! That hoit! ~|:o

Oooo ... I feel your pain! Speedy recovery to you!

I got my "I'm getting older" wake up call a few yrs. back in a mountain biking accident. I limped away and didn't have to go to the hospital but it changed how I think about preparation and training for what should be considered extreeme events for us non-teens.

Well, think on the bright side. You have given the boy a memory he will save and pass on to his children and grandchildren!

Richard Ha! Ya got that right.

When do you show this event on YouTube? I'd liked to see this! Wow, how funny. As a matter of fact before he made his first jump I told my wife we should get out the digicam and record his jump just in case it is usable for UTube or AFV. :)

I sincerely hope you will never do those things again, make a promise to your family not playing the "Daredevil" anymore, go to the church to beg for forgiveness, warn the neighbours that you are "out" for the next couple of weeks, and beware those guys who want to see you on YouTube. :wow:~|
