Since no one else has said anything I\'ll offer some comments.
First off you really need to look at the tuning of these instruments. They are WAY out! No matter how good the articulations might be if it ain\'t in tune it ain\'t gonna sell : )

Just as you thought Casio were dead on the synth market.... Sorry, but that is what it sounds like to me.

Erm...I thought the casio comment was quite mean until I downloaded the mp3..oh dear.
I don\'t want to sound nasty, but it sounds like a cheap soundcard wavetable synth (from 6 years ago).
Did you use really short looppoints or something?

Hi, everyone!
Thaks for all comments:>
Actually, I am a newbie in using samples and Gigastudio. I have checked here before and I noticed that there are many professionals who using(and making) samples in this forum. Glad to see you all there! And I post these files because I hope your comments for my self-made sample of trumpet ensemble. (Actually, except the trumpet, other sounds are using sound module, so should they sound like \"casio\" sounds? I\'m sorry about that :>) this is the first time that I made the sample myself. So I am not like the ones in here who are very professional:0 By the way, I still cannot find a nice FFF trumpet ensemble.(or, does it exist in nowadays markets of FFF trumpet ensemble?)So I tried to make this. Haha... May you guys find my sample silly sound? I\'m sorry about that.
I have listened to those brass libraries, DDSB,QLB,BOB... They have really nice sounds. However, I didn\'t find any FFF samples there. Is it really different to product those samples? I\'m new to there, so I hope my question don\'t annoy any people.
P.S. Actually, my sample layers actually 8 trumpets together. So are from soundfont and some are from modules.
Thank you.

The best FFF trumpet sound I\'ve found is by layering the Dan Dean solo trumpet with the QLB trumpet ensemble. It gives a really good loud trumpet sound, but that is a lot of $$$ to shell out.
Dan is supposedly working on a trumpet ensemble library that, if it is the same quality as his solo instruments, could be awesome.

All these years of trumpet playing, and finally my talents come to my benefit! Since I haven\'t really heard excellent trumpet sections reminscent of Thomas\'s, I decided to record myself maybe 2-3 times for a unison line, or one-per-part for harmony. It really does add dimension to my music, and effects, (glissandos, double-tonguing, TRIPLE-tongueing, flutter tongue) as well as solo work. I\'ve also been blessed owning three trumpets. (Bach Strad, an old cornet, ((guess not a trumpet, nice variation)) and an old trumpet my dad used in high school. Using all three of these for sections, I can create some realistic sections, and I\'m thinking about recording my own samples.

Sounds exciting Aaron! Do yourself a favor and don\'t listen to Donnie about out-of-tune samples. Don\'t take this as an insult Donnie! Just my thought on the subject.
This is much of the problem with todays samples. They are too \"perfect\". Some sound like they\'ve been run through an Autotune box. It\'s horrible. The more mistakes you make, the more natural the sound is. Heck, even LSO make mistakes. Of course you don\'t want something reminiscent of a highschool orchestra in sound. But opting for the \"perfect\" take is sometimes not that smart. You should keep all kinds of takes. You never know when you\'ll have some use for \'em. Don\'t record them through your effects on your kurzweil :=)
Good luck!

While not having every note \"perfect\" may enhance realism to a degree, it is a real bummer when a particular note of your instrument doesn\'t sound right because the sample isn\'t great. I have actually transposed parts up a half step because a critical note of a certain sample library sucks, and that is something that really shouldn\'t have to be part of the composition process.

Hey Thomas, I appreciate the feedback. What do you mean don\'t record them through the KBox? I mean, of course, If I record my own samples, they\'ll be dry first. But if I\'m playing live with the sampled orchestra, I\'ll use the same reverb effects that the samples are using. Is there something that I missed that you\'re trying to say?
