OT: Wine Tasting

My wife and I went to a wine tasting party tonight.

The lady selling the wine told us that if we bought an entire case, they would throw in a decanter for free. I said I prefered my canters in B-flat.

She said "Oh, the come in all sorts of shapes."

PS - I guess I need to post more. My birthday went by last week with nary a mention on this forum. :'( I'll have to remedy that before my 40th next year.

You should see the Chianti Region of Tuscany. The restaraunts in Sienna get their "house wine" from tapped oak barrels in the back; filled with chianti from the vineyards they can see from their town!!

I don't remember the brands (I'm more of a Tanqueray Gin kind of guy), but it must have been strong stuff for me to make a "decanter, B-flat canter" joke! It seemed hilarious at the time, but my wife assures me it was not.

Well, happy birthday. But don't consider yourself so old! When you realize that people are retiring who started their career after you retired, then you can consider that you are aging!
