Giga Chat ... a thought.

Hello everyone.

I am sure that it is safe to say that this forum has been, and is, a great tool for all of us. We have all made friends here and we continue to, not only learn from one another, but more importantly be inspired.

I would like to know if any would be interested in utilizing the forums chat function. We could have on topic chats (post a date/time) or simply just check in with our Giga friends.

Anyone game?

SOD: ehh that is quite a statement... annoying people. Certainly depends on what kind of channels you\'re frequenting. Besides, we\'d be creating our own channel for the chat, so it would only be ourselves that could be \'annoying\'.

There are other IRC clients as well, but this should get you going and help you figure out what IRC is.

I used to frequent IRC alot. Haven\'t at all in the past year or so.

ICQ is cool and all, but its one to one, and setting up Chat rooms just starts to hog resources

The chat room on this site has been something I\'ve been interested in for years, but its always empty, so I have no idea how well it works. Tell you what, everytime I post on this board, I\'ll jump on and check it out while I post. Some of you guys should do the same.

I believe you can Francis. Just download it and when it finishes installing, this little pop up screen will come up with this picture of a guy in the top right corner. Close this screen and in the top left corner hit the lightning bolt symbol and type in #midi-mockup and it will take you to that room.

Btw, the #midi-mockup channel on IRC is on the EFNet server, if anyone wouldn\'t take this for granted.
