Very nice. Good sonic depth. Some playfull things with panning in there. What verb are you using, and what horns and strings? (You knew someone would ask that, right? http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif ).

Zimmer was one of the first successful composers to mix media like this (orchestra and rock instruments), and I think it is a shame more composers don\'t go down this path. This was a good example. Lots of possiblities. Keep after it. Thanks for preview.

Thank you guys! I\'m fixing some errors on it. The intro is terribly naked. The bass sounds poor etc etc. The reverb is actually the NFX verb in gigastudio for a change.

Thank you for listening!

i enjoyed a lot!!
i love this kind of mix.it\'s rare to find orchestra and eletronic stuff sounding good. it needs a very good taste to blend all that stuff and definitily you have thomas.
thanx to share.

This crossover piece is very unpolished. I just wrote it today and it would be interesting to hear some of people\'s view on this kind of crossover between orchestral and big beat.

The piece was sequenced in cakewalk. It\'s not properly mixed yet. 10 audio tracks and 28 midi tracks were used.

Hope you enjoy it!

Hi,

I think it\'s a great style. David Arnold is really good at it, have you listened to his The World Is not Enough? The boat chase is IMHO the best example of this crossover.. http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif
Also Gregson-Williams layed some nice beats over his main theme in Metal Gear Solid 2 very nice but a bit more cheese..
