Steinway Piano

Hi,

I am using GPO with Garritan Studio v2.0.

The Steinway Piano has a lot of reverb with ambience switched off and is not usable as is. What can I do to improve the sound?

Hi Herbert,

You might be loading the wet versions of the patches in the Kontakt Player. Try loading the "Dry" preset.

Thank you, for your response. The file that I had loaded was Steinway Piano.nki.

What sounded like reverb was not reverb at all, but the result of the way the music was written. Each measure contained a whole note, mostly around C7, giving the reverb effect, while other notes were mostly 1/8 in value.
