No soft pedal

I have a weird problem. When I click on the soft pedal icon, I don't have any sound.
Is it normal? Have I to do something more? I'm on Sonar Producer 7.0

Just to check the obvious: are you sure you haven't loaded the set "No soft", since this set doesn't have the soft pedal samples?
