Hey guys,
I recently loaded up Finale 2007 + Garritan Person Orchestra onto my new Macbook Pro, and was very distressed to find that I can no longer use Ambience Reverb which is normally an option in my Native Instruments setup. Does anyone know a (free) way of fixing this, or is this one of the drawbacks of Mac's new OS?
Thanks all-
Chris

... is this one of the drawbacks of Mac's new OS?

No - it's one of the drawbacks of the new ARIA player. Be nice if Garritan (or Plogue) fixed this major disappointment.

But GPO doesn't work in ARIA, it's still in Kontakt. - ? -

I believe Finale 09 shipped with the 'limited' Garritan sounds in ARIA...I could be wrong though.

As far as the Ambience reverb, this isn't a reverb developed by Garritan or Plogue. It's a 3rd party reverb, so it would be up to that developer to correct any issue. See here: http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/

I have Finale '09 with Kontakt and there is a ambiance even though
I don't have a clue what to do with it.
I understand that ARIA is part of FINALE 09, but I didn't notice a way to change from KONTAKT.
Would it be a good idea to change? I usually get "shot in the foot" when I change anything...

I do not know how to use Finale, but can't you add effects to your track in the mixing channel? Ambiance is a VST, and it can be added, no? Or perhaps I am misunderstanding the question.
