I installed the Kontakt2 player update.
I can't find a manual anywhere. Is there supposed to be one?

I also noticed that some controls are missing.
The 2 variation controls and length controls are missing.
Are these now controlled buy midi cc#?

How do I turn Disk Streaming on and off?

1. No, there is no manual for Kontakt Player 2. An updated PDF manual for GPO should be installed with the upgrade process, and that will explain (very briefly) some of the aspects of KP2.

2. First, when you say update I presume you mean moving from the original Kontakt Player to Kontakt Player 2. If this is the case, have you downloaded and isntalled all the necessary updates for the Garritan Librar(ies) and Kontakt Player 2? Currently KP2 is at v.2.2.4.001

Second, what instruments are you loading? The controls shown on each instrument vary according to what's available to control that instrument (see screen snip below). If the control isn't available to that instrument, it's not shown. Var 1 and Var 2 are controlled by CC22 and CC23, Length by CC21.

You can check which CC controls each knob on the instrument interface by selecting the "Auto" tab in the browser pane, and then the "Midi Automation tab" Moving a knob on screen will result in a red lightning bolt next to the CC to which that control is mapped.

3. DFD settings are configured by the Options>DFD menu. Disk Streaming defaults to "on" with KP2.

Yes, I went from Player 1 to player 2.
It Loaded new sounds as far as I can tell.

How do I check too find out if I have the most recent library of sounds?
Where would the downloads for the library update be located?

After registering/authorizing KP2 they will be availalbe from the NI service center/from your NI account

You can check your version by clicking the Kontakt 2 logo.
