Hi, all...
SNORLAX ON TV (http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=9309535#)
Nothing earth-shattering here, but I do a fair amount of this in print and radio/TV.
Click on the video window to see that Snor has a face for...RADIO.
I'm not sure how long this will be up; I'll remove this post if possible when the article/video go down.

Are you going to continue to associate with us 'little people', now that you are a television star? ;) :p

What accent is that? I need to add it to my Book of Accents.

Mostly nasal, with a dose of Brooklyn, NY (one of the five "boroughs" of NY City). ~|

I must be losing it because I can't hear that - but I will take your word for it of course. Brooklyn???? Whoa - my hearing is shot to shreds. :hp:

Oh great. Now your part of the martini sipping media-elite. How can I expect to believe anything you say now? :p ;)
Only in America would the prospect of companies going out of business have a positive spin... BARGAINS GALORE!

Pass the brie and Chablis, please...
But what didn't get out in the soundbites is what I said about how companies ought to adjust to minimize the chance of going out of business...they only had 2.5 minutes for the story but I did 15 mins worth of tape.

That dose of Brooklyn is quite small to my ears also. I grew up in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn and my Mom had a full blown Brooklyn accent. I've been told that my accent comes from learning to talk from TV!

Bensonhurst here, Caher...then a move to Flushing...then to Jersey...then to Indiana. Maybe some accent lost in the process ~|.

Ugh! The very reason I do not watch the news! The most important information is lost due to the want of a soundbite! :O
Very nice, Professor Jim! You looked and sounded great... and those two ladies did as well.
The kids, at my workplace, informed me that on the day after Thanksgiving Day, a shopper can probably find a good 40 something inch television for under $400.:)
...but when I asked where, they went silent. Then after a long pause, one said, "you have to be the first one in the door when they open," but they still wouldn't say where.:(
I'm picturing people camped out all night, carrying clubs and pepper spray or brass knuckles, so i may decide to look for a different bargain or try that online shopping you mentioned.

Oh no. Now this is going to have to filed under 'extremely complicated accents' which I hate doing. This is what happens when hobbies choose you, and you don't choose your hobbies.
I mentioned some of your financial tips and comments to some of my financial friends and they feel you've redefined the art of commercial advice Snor!!! Well done I say!!!
