Hi

Could anybody comment on the new Garritan Steinway in terms of quality and realism, assuming they have purchased it.

Cheers

Its great. I like it better than Ivory, Galaxy II(just by a hair). It is really my only go to piano library. I do mostly solo piano, jazz, and some pop.FWIW

Thanks for your review Iplayjazz, interesting to see there wasn't more comments from other users about the product, Mmm....

I think if you search the forum for earlier threads on this subject you will find a number of threads dealing with this. I suspect that most of us who are thrilled and enamored with the Steinway just didn't feel the need to say the same thing again. JMO

Listen to the demos. If you like what you hear then buy the product.

Can you describe why you like it better than Galaxy II?

well, first it loads quickly, and the gui is very simple. Soundwise, it just seems more playable "live", than the Galaxy. Warmer, less twang on the octaves above middle C.
