I now have a macbook-pro 17 inch :) which is fairly awesome...*()

but:
i have Finale 2009 on my old 12 inch powerbook (non intel), and when i go to AU setup from the player in studio view, it has everything listed. All Garritan products are there, along with Kontakt 2, Kontakt 3, even has Apple Instruments and some other things that i don't even know what they are.

But on the new 17' macbookpro, the list does not have so many choices and does not have the Kontakt 3 listed.

Does anyone know how i can get my seemingly fully functional Kontakt3 to be recognized by Finale 2009?? ...(on the intel mac)

thanks for any help you can give!

David

I think you have to copy the kontakt-plugins to a folder inside the Finale folder. I use the windows-version, and in my system it something like: c:/programfiles/Finale/FinaleVST

Compare that folder in both systems you have, and look for differences.
In windows the plugins are named as .DLL, and the instrumentslist is txt-files, but I think mac has another filnames.

Thanks Fred,

I'll take a look inside those folders and compare them.
