These are actually really good and true quotes though! :D

(I think Edison was not just an innovating inventor, he was a tremendous business man, which is probably how these quotes apply. He doesn't seem to have been very nice to Tesla though :( )

A long time ago, I knew a woman who had her own modern dance company. This was in Michigan. They got invited to perform at some festival in New York City. There was no money involved.

They packed all their costumes, props, audio system, etc. into a van, drove to NY, performed a 10 minute dance and then drove home.

Later I asked her how it was worth her while to go to all that trouble to just do a 10 minute dance. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's just work."

That's stuck with me ever since. Working hard is free. It doesn't cost you anything.

Preparation is easy to find. It lives in the practice rooms, classrooms, and performance halls. Opportunity can't be searched out, only recognized when it makes its entrance.
