Small Finale issue

I am using Finale 2008 and have always had the globe pattern for the tool palettes.
Tonight I thought I would try something else and when I go to preferences I can only choose traditional or globe.
All of the others show empty palettes when I choose them.
Never seen this before - ideas?

Not a big deal, but makes me wonder if something evil is lurking.

I vaguely remember something about this. I might be wrong but I think the updates fixed this. Check to make sure you've got the latest 2008 update installed.

I am all updates have been for a while.
I already repaired permissions and restarted.
I should trash the prefs file too.
