Midi Channel Assignment

Hi
I have a requirement to use the same instrument (Rhodes) on different midi channels (not at the same time) for different sequences. (eg..Channels 1 and 4)
Do I save a complete copy of the sound for each channel?
(as the channel is assigned in the editor) ....or is it possible to have the one set of waves with several dedicated channels assigned.?

Once loaded, an instument can be accessed on any channel.
