This is an ad from Keyboard magazine, June issue, page 37, as reported by Ed from Alabama in the Aria engine thread.

http://www.box.net/shared/e3d7vms1h2

While the ad indicates a downloadable version, it is not yet available on the Garritan site. Seems like this could happen any day now; maybe Gary thought the issue would come out a bit later?

Well,

Unless Gary had a severe attack of N.E.W.T. Syndrome, it looks like it's about to happen soon.

Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slick advertisement.
Looks very enticing to those who have not already found the Garritan library to be so useful and musical.
I can't wait for this to go live so that I can upgrade my GPO to the new ARIA version that I have already found so much better in the FINALE and EWI versions.
Congrats, Gary!)(~

I am pleased Gary hasn't succombed to his NEWT syndrome. Despite the advertisement, it will be ready when it is ready, and available when it is available.

Hmmm

That was rather profound don't you think?

Gary did inform me that the ad came out a little earlier than expected, but that GPO Aria should be ready soon. Since no other details were provided, and Keyboard generally comes out in mid month, this could mean that GPO Aria will likely be ready within the next 30 days. Maybe sooner!

Or maybe later.

I'll be waiting with credit card in hand. I have the online store page bookmarked.

BTW, is there a chance I'll be able to use my current project files in Overture 4 with GPOA? Maybe too early to tell, but just curious.

Does anyone know which brass samples from projectSAM are in GPO4?
Im hoping the answer is 'all of them', but i doubt it somehow...

I guess it's a bunch of solid sustain and staccato notes.

"...I guess it's a bunch of solid sustain and staccato notes..."

Meant ironically and/or as a metaphor--? Since whether notes are sustained or not is determined by the playing of them, not by the nature of the samples.

I recall when the SAM Brass instruments were mentioned in connection with the new version of GPO, it was said there would be Some instruments from that library. Nothing was ever said about including the whole collection--how could that even be possible when GPO will remain such a low cost library--?

ARGH!!!!

Everytime I "lurk" around these forums and see THIS particular thread pop up, AGAIN, my heart speeds up and skips a beat thinking that GPO4/ARIA has "Finally Arrived"!!! I get all giddy inside thinking, "I can now upgrade to the long-awaited GPO4/ARIA program! YEA!!"

THEN. . . I click on the thread, open it up (again) and (re)-read the posts only to quickly realize that it's that same darned thread started a few weeks ago and, NO, GPO4/ARIA has not finally arrived!! (Sniff, sniff.)

Oh well. . . . It ain't out yet. :( :( :(

Back to lurking the forums. . . :o

No. As this is not my native I never try to be ironically.

I fear I don't get it. Some of the libraries I've bought have so called sustain patches, this doesn't reflect how long to hold a key.

Hang in there Ted!

When you finally see a post entitled: "Reality overcomes NEWT syndrome" you will know...

Of course it might be entitled "At last, Hell has frozen over"

But seriously, these posts are annoying. I will be looking for the announcement from the Man himself.

...these posts are annoying.

How about changing the name of the thread?

I had the same happy reaction and disappointment, again, when I saw the post today.
