Sean, David, Alan and Larry - Thank you all for the friendly posts on this thread. This is fun!--I hadn't been keeping track of the numbers--surprised the heck out of to suddenly take note of that figure at the bottom of a post yesterday--wow. I've been around the block here!

Hi Randy,

I think Larry said it best so I'll just say "I second that!" :).

I also like the way you "stir the pot" every once and a while ... keeps things (and us!) from stagnating ... important for any art.

Regards,

Frank

Hi, Frank - I really appreciate your post - Thank you! My primary intention has always been to just be an enthusiastic participant here - and that's not difficult to achieve, because I believe in this Forum tremendously - have ever since I discovered GPO and then this online community.

And I also never really intend to be challenging, or controversial, or grumpy, or negative - but I know that over the course of 2 1/2 years I've been here, probably all of my various moods have been on display at various times!

Thanks again to all here on the thread, and to our entire world-wide community of music creators for being here.

Randy, it does appear that some of your comments are controversial! However, I have always found that the written word can be easily misinterpreted, while nuances in the spoken word are better at conveying an intended message. I have certainly edited some of my posts, after giving them a second thought about how they might be viewed by others. Unfortunately, not all of them!

I suppose it is much like hearing a written score in your head, where the expression of the music will have a wide range of interpretations. This is most evident in the orchestral challenge entries on this site, where orchestrating a few notes on paper can produce very distinctive results.

In any case, I certainly appreciate your input on this forum RANDY, controversial or informative - keep it coming!

Regards,
Dominick

What a great post, thanks, Dominick. I know I feel very comfortable here at this Forum and so feel at ease to express myself fairly freely, and I hope others feel the same way.

Now and then I realize that my enthusiasm for a topic or a point of view I want to talk about can irk other members, and then I have to remember that there's no such thing as complete freedom to speak our minds. It's not always the appropriate thing to do. That's OK. This is a music oriented Forum and most of our time here is best spent on musical topics--and that's certainly an endless source for conversation, so fine!

Thanks again.
