Donnie\'s stuff is superb (Ultimate Percussion).

Big Fish Audio is about to release \"LONDON PERCUSSION\" for giga. I don\'t know much about it though and I haven\'t heard any demos.

I\'m going to second Robert on this one. Donnie\'s Ultimate Orchestral Perc. is at the top of the list as things stand now. Also, don\'t overlook his Marimba/Vibes. I\'m especially fond of the marimba in that library. Haven\'t heard the \"about to be released\" items, so can\'t help you there.

First I would like to thank Tom and Robert for the kind words!

Secondly yes the Big Fish \"London Orchestral Percussion\" is going to be GREAT!! and yes we had a \"little\" hand in it.

It should be coming out pretty soon.

DONNIE,
Is London percussion the new library that you\'ve been talking about? Or is there another Ultimate orchestral percussion library coming out as well? I seriously doubt they can compete with the new Quantum Leap Bangladesh Orchestral Percussion. http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif

Yes the new London Orch. Percussion is the one Sean and I have been working on. Its in it\'s final stages and is about to go off to replication. I\'ll try to post a list of all the instruments today.

Yes this is a Big Fish Audio product and is a whole different ball game from the first UOP. It will be four discs jam packed (like 698 megs on every disc).

Here is a list of the instruments:

6 Anvils
2 Castanets
4 Chimes
7 pairs of Crash Cyms
2 Crotales
2 Finger Cyms
9 Glockenspiels
3 Gongs
Latin Accessories
Concert Toms
9 Snare Drums (including sections)
Shakers
Slap stick/Sleigh Bells
Slide Whistle/Vibraslap
6 Suspended Cyms
5 Tambourines
Temple Blocks
2 Thunder Sheets
4 Triangles
5 Woodblocks
4 Wind Chimes
6 Xylos
4 Timpani patches (including two different makes of Timpani)

Also there is going to be a competitive upgrade for users of UOP and possibly other percussion disks such as Mirolsav and AO but that hasn\'t been set in stone yet.

Cool! Good news, Donnie http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif .

P.S. 1: So it\'s no \"Ultimate Orchestral Percussion II\", right?

P.S. 2: Why \"London\" in the name? For all the positive associations http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif ?

Donnie: I certainly would be interesting in an upgrade for London Percussion since I own your ultimite percussion collection. I am glad that a vibra slap is included. I created a transcription of \"Sleigh Ride\" by Anderson, but I had no \'slap\'. I used a rim shot instead...

As far a celestas go, the on in x-sample is horrible. If anyone is seeking a good celesta, try Post Piano Suite Volume I. This celesta is nice.

No bass drums?? Will there be keyswitched rolls and single hits in the timps?

donnie

Woops...I knew I would forget something on the list....yes there are two different makes of bass drums.

How soon is \"soon\" might I ask? This sounds incredible, particularly the ensemble snare...

Um, Thanks Donnie for posting the articulations.

There goes another check!

When\'s the release date?

Is there an upgrade path for UOP users did you say? These are all new samples right?

Hey Esperlad

How do you find the celsete on Post piano ? I read a review on sonic control and it seemed to sugest the piano was the only truly decent sample on the Library . It suggested the pitch stretching was,nt great . I was kinda bummed as I need good vibes and marimba too , and it all came in one package . Why don,t you like Ex sample . Sorry to pester you with questions .

Thanks
