Do you know anything about the X sample 9 disc that has drums .
Any Idea how many velocity zones on that disc?

I have Bob Clearmountain 2 and Real Mega drums in giga format that I trigger Via acupad electronic drums.
I would like to find some drums that are more expressive than they are .
Thanks , Ken

I have those drums. They are ok....if you are in a pinch and on a tight budget. I think that Donnie and Sean are working on something really big and special.

Yes we are still working on a very big drum set library.

However, I still don\'t think you can go wrong with Purrfect drums. It really seems like a great buy!

My first choice is Real Giga Drums for playable realistic drums. Also the Pure Drums are fine but I love the concept of Giga Drums. 10 times and more velocity. The variable concept allows you to create your own individual drum mix according to your needs. You can change the microphone positions (close up-, overhead-, ambient- mic). Both are from best service /East West. Ernst

I love the idea of RealGigaDrums of being able to mix different mike positions and it works fine. Itīs clear that these guys put a lot of love into it. Drumsounds very good, Cymbals good. Lago

Differences of Pure Drums and Real Giga Drums. Pure Drums offers you ready playable drumkits (17), each kit has its own stylistic-character and is optimized for fast layouting (included RnB, Ballad, Funk, Soul, Hardrock and more Drumkits - lOT of variations of kit sounds). Real Giga Drums doesnīt have so many different kits (5) but is a variable concept - because of its different microphone positions you can create your own individual mix. Check the demos www.bestservice.de (\"http://www.bestservice.de\") Klaus from best service

Wow three glowing reviews from the same IP block. Two of them are even the same!

Come on guys give us some credit. Let me guess is this the producer, the engineer, and the distriubtor perhaps?

Well said, Donnie. This is ridiculous - and a pain in the arse. Kudos to you and Nick (and other developers) for always providing an honest opinion. Your work speaks for itself.

One of the reasons I\'m on this group is to get the unbiased opinion of people such as yourselves. People who have actually pubished fine work that stands as its own advertising.

While I\'m here I want to thank Nick (if he\'s still talking to me after I got involved in some of the stupid crap that goes on here). I bought \'Rare Instruments\'. It is a masterpiece. Truly, now I know why \'some\' libraries are so expensive. (I couldn\'t resist that demo - marvelous)

Now I\'m skint, so can someone tell me what\'s on the Prosamples guitar and Bass library while I save my pennies (please tell me that the fretless bass is on it - it\'s only on the demo for a moment but oooh, baby).

Anyway, will one of you guys do a classical guitar (and put me out of my misery)? (Sorry to interrupt the drum thing).

well...

pretty strange...

anyway, I like both Pure drums and RGD each for their own reason. The same as stated above.

RGD is different than Real Mega Drums by the way.

teh oever exageratted characteristic changes from kit to kit in Pure Drums is REALLY cool. But the soudns are just so \"tight\" that you are stuck with EXACTLY how they sound, out of the box, unless you are into editing the samples. Adding reverb to the whole mix isn\'t the same, and tracking individual drums is tedious...but yeilds better post processing results.

The RGD \"mix\" option really helps since I liek that \"overhead\" snare sound, and some times more \"room\" for a \"liver\" sound. What sucks is that the kits don\'t sound all too different. They are different kits, but its still similar tuning styles and sounds. Neat if you like the sound of yammies more than DWs or another make/model, bad if you want a really funky sounding kit, tuned way high and tight. Or a really loose snare and loose kick.

I can\'t wait for you guys to do all those sampling on Sanre types Donnie. I hope you guys do different tunigs of each one too http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif hell a whole library devoted to Snares would be cool http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif The same way you guys did with the Timp http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif
