These are the best solo strings (in quality of recording) I\'ve ever heard!
But please would you update.
i.e.
Velocity switching.
I read your posting that at some stage you might find the 25th hour in the day and do so...
Just on the sound of your cello recordings...you are the only man for the job.
Sell your kids....
Mortgage the house...
Swap that truck for roller skates...
{I HAVE )
I\'m holding my breath
...but I\'m getting a little dizzy...................!
Hi Nigel
Just a quick question..Did you buy \'on-line\'
or from a shop?
Just asking b\'cos i\'ll be in you neck of the woods soon (the shops in Manchester are crap)
+ it will give me a good excuse to vist Chandlers/the Bass Center http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif
Sorry fer butting in

Dear Blob,
Can\'t help wondering, are you at a bad time of the month, or is that really your name?
No, I didn\'t purchase online, but twisted a \"known\" suppliers arm in the UK to import it for me...But ended up paying through the nose!
I now think this was a mistake.
A word of warning....Dan Deans Solo Strings are the best recorded samples I have ever heard... but I\'ve still not been able to use them as \"solo\" strings yet.
However, the sound of his cello inspired me to buy a £2k computer and the gigga software.
I still find it beneficial to pay for a session cellist rather than use the samples,
even on demos.
Dan Dean is obviously a natural talent...but he may...or may not update this library...!
The b*gger could be run over by a steamroller!
keep at it,
Nigel
Cheers Nigel,
BTW wrong but the right area...\'tis a gruesome tale non the less http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif

Greetings,
I will be upgrading the Solo Strings. It won\'t be immediate, however. I will do it though, really. It will be done like the WW\'s and upcoming brass with lots of features and programming. I\'ll probably include Double Bass in the upgrade.
Thanks for the support,
DD

For a great solo strings, buy X samples Vol,10,11. they sound nice alone. best service has them cheaper than sounds on line.

Thanks,Marty.
I\'ve got the Xsample solo samples...and they\'re inexpensive.
I\'ve also got the A.O. solo strings.
...(A lot of people have knocked this disc,
and the weird samples that have been placed together...but they really do have their uses).
In fact, any sampled library that is out there
has a place in my heart.
You try doing it...by the time you\'ve finished... the reason for doing it has legged it down the road to oblivion!
But once in a while a sound comes along that really inspires...
Christ! I want to ride that horse...not play at vets and stick my hand up its\' arse to tweak it so that I can ride it!
Power to the jockeys!

Hey, how did Nigel get away with saying \"arse\" on this forum. I thought all BAD words were subjected to THE **** Editor.
Nigel would you care to share a few more British cuss words with us so we can say what we really want to without the ******* editor cuttin\' me words off.

No.
They\'re a lot more sophisticated,now.
They put silencers on them...and they wear
slippers!
I\'ve also got a sneaky feeling they push off to
ballet lessons when everybody\'s asleep!
...And who\'s that guy wearing a red T-shirt(with an Italian accent) putting an engine under the bonnet!
P.S. Thanks for the inspiration.
