Georg, any idea how large each CD of the new Xsample solo strings will be in terms of hard drive space?

Sounds great Hans! By the way, your demo for the new strings is fantastic! Really nice programming there. http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif

Hi!

Is there going to be a new set price for the whole Xsample-range (1-9 about 1400 DM if remembering correctly. How much 1-12?)???

As I\'m still in the pre-buyer situation (I want to cleverly invest my not so big account)... Would you mind telling me if the Xsample-serie can properly be used on it\'s own or if it is (as once read somewhere else) just to be viewed as an addition to libraries like AO etc. filling their gaps???

In how far does the new Xsamples compare to Dan Deans Solo strings???

Thanks in advance

Is this the same xsamples being sold by EastWest (www..com) or a new
version of.

Is there a link to more info about?

Hello,

thank you Josh, that\'s right.
(For working link: http://www.xsample.de) (\"http://www.xsample.de)\")

Hi O.H.,

I\'m shure there will be some special prices. But we don\'t make the end user price. Special prices and bundels are done by the individual distributers.

The volumes mentioned above are from the same Xsample label sold at eastwest but these particular CDs (volumes 10,11,12) are yet to be released. Does that make sense?

You can get more info at www.xsample.de (\"http://www.xsample.de\")

Josh

This is the content of one gig. You can load these presets separately.
The first preset is an overview of all sounds.
The \"S\" -presets are dimension (style)- switching presets.
The \"F\" -presets are fading presets. Very interesting are the dynamic fades, they give you really the feeling of playing strings. Or the tremolo fades, there you can fade between normal and sul ponticello sounds.
The \"T-\" -presets are special tunings, for example very good for homophone music.
The \"X-\" -presets are the single dynamics or styles for saving memory.
The midinotes in brackets show you the key dimension switches.
The \"GST\" tells you, that effects are only working in GigaStudio.
There is also a lot of very detailed programming stuff for classic purpose and also very crazy effects for experimental or popmusic stuff. Some presets are using more than 10 controllers (you can use them but you don\'t need)!
All controller are explained in a help file.
You have all instruments as stereo and mono - I no it from studio practice, that this is very useful.
In the mono version there are also some very nice ensembles of 3, 6 and 8 instruments parts. They have variable pan and you can fade them in pairs.
All the sounds are non vibrato (you can add it by using mod wheel or after touch) and there is always an high quality loop (you won\'t hear it!). On some presets you can also change the speed of the vibrato.
