Multiple Patch instances just appear! Notes drop too!

My colleague and I can\'t figure this one....
We\'ve checked the midi extensively....

With an awegold that was well behaved when we play a single patch now after a bit sounds jerks audibly a bit and then multiple
copies of the same singlw patch drop in lots of the other channels....BAD!

Any ideas.....??

What sequencer are you using? Did you install / remove *any* software / drivers / hardware just before the problems started? Are you using win98se?

GigaStudio will add patches on other channels automatically if your sequencer outputs to these channels. You may want to check your MIDI out settings in your sequencer. Check any MIDI echo settings. Hope this helps.
