Hi,
your the third person I answer that :
\"No, GigaStudio don\'t work with Emagic Logic Audio\".
Here\'s my setting :
- Windows 98 SE
- PII 300
- 256 RAM
- Sound Blaster AWE64 Gold
- Emagic Audiowerk 8
- Logic Audio Platinum
- No office, antivirus or internet...
What is your dedicated sound card for GigaStudio ?
Hope Tech support will take that problem in charge...

Iīm using SBlive and a RME Digi96/8 with Gsif driver.
Audio is working.
Itīs a midi problem. Midi thru or something like that.

Hi Cheez,
I already aware of the Hubi Loopback workaround but it is not a solution...
I think Nemesys should debug it. It is for sure not a Logic midi implementation problem because everythings just work find with GigaSampler... Take your own conclusion.
By the way, thanks for the workaround ;o)

Thanx for the link.
I allready tested hubis loopback device, but had the problem with the midi-in loopback.
After editing the win.ini it works.
Just select lb1 in logic as midi out, and lb1 in gigastudio as midi in.

I seem to be having the same problem running Gigastudio alongside Pro Tools LE, so it can\'t be a problem with Logic. Pro Tools doesnt allow you to turn off MIDI ports, it opens them all every time so the Hubi workaround just makes everything go screwy. Other than these fundamental problems GStudio is a fabulous product http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif Sort it out Nemesys.

The Hubi-solution didn\'t work for my logic either, yet i tested it on two different machines.
Lucky for me i didn\'t buy the software yet, otherwise i would propably be mighty pissed by now... hope there\'s an upgrade available soon, coz i really want this baby.

Hmmmn, if you followed the workaround exactly, it should work - if not, my guess would be that the problem is neither in logic, nor in Giga, but actually in Windows (now wouldn\'t that be a surprise http://www.northernsounds.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif ).
After all, some people are now experiencing this with Cakewalk 9, while others do not. PowerTracks is also a problem.
BTW, if you cannot get your Logic to work with Giga and Hubi, I would like some more detail: i.e. does the sequencer just not play back, or do you get an echo loopback effect? If the latter, remember that win.ini has to be properly edited.
Also for the powertracks guys, I would recommend talking to the manufacturer to find out whether there is any way of disabling some midi ports to *not* be opened as inputs (i.e. by editing win.ini). In this case your problem will be solved.
Another thing I have discovered, is that the Nemesys Midi Ports seem to be basically loopback devices, i.e. pretty similar in function to Hubi\'s LB1-LB4!
Based on this observation, I expect to post a slight refinement soon to the workaround (as soon as I get a few moments to do more thorough testing).

From Nemesys five minutes ago:
There is a patch in testing and is near release. Maybe a week or two. This should address issues with Logic Audio.
