Congrats Thomas!!!

A great day for independent sample developing. Independent sample developers are kicking butt.

And I would like to add my voice to the rest. The Scarbee R.S.P. \'73 sounds 5 stars or more out of 5 stars!!!

I have used them for live performances for a number of weeks - first in GigaStudio and now in Kontakt. Life is good!!!

A very good job indeed.

Congratulations, Thomas!

I know how many hours/days/months you spent working on this project. (It becomes a blur, doesn\'t it?) I\'m sure the RSP is fantastic.

I\'m really flattered... images/icons/smile.gif

My wife Anne was the boss of the restoration process - couldn\'t have done it without her.
She is responsible for all cover artwork too - and then - I love her so, man graemlins/tounge_images/icons/smile.gif

Thanks to beta-testers too - they really made me work!

And it\'s really nice to haer from the users - who played it!

And my heart also get warmed when other developers congrats. I like competition, but in a friendly way - I think it is great that many of us developers talk together and meet personally - and are not affraid to say nice things about strongly competing stuff.

At last don\'t forget Michiel Post also received 5 stars!

What a great day!

I have owned 5 \"real\" Rhodes over the years, including a Mark 1 Stage \'73
The RSP is as good, if not better than any of them.
I would recommend this library to anyone. images/icons/grin.gif

By the way, does anyone have a link to the SOS article? I\'d be interested to read the 5 star review...

Agreed there. Congratulations. This library really captures the complete essence of the Rhodes Stage Piano, and is one of those really great products that comes along now and then and makes you laugh with appreciation. Everything you love about the Fender Rhodes is exactly what you get. Everything that filled your life with fear and agony and backache about the Rhodes is missing.

As much as it irritates me that Dave Stewart_mistakenly_thinks that the more patches you load into Gigastudio the worse your midi timing gets, and that effects are hard to programme into Gstudio, I generally smiled reading the article. I particularly appreciated Martin Walker\'s comments about comparing the RSP with a physical modelling solution (more dynamics, less CPU overhead):

Lounge Lizard is capable of a far more versatile range of expressive electric piano-like sounds, and has built-in effects, and both were convincing playing back existing tracks. However, during real-time performances the best Lounge Lizard Rhodes impersonation had somewhat compressed soft dynamics and a far less convincing release, while the RSP 73 was a carbon copy Rhodes that sounded exactly like playing the real thing, taking a third of the CPU overhead for the same number of notes.

Go Thomas!!!!
