Tascam Now Drops Support For GIGACUBE

After a semi successful run with the new GigaCube launched this month, Tascam has now removed it from all their literatures, web sites, music stores and product lines.

In typical Tascam fashion a hearty \"No Comment\" is offered as explanation.

Also - due to a hugely over extended run with the Giga Pulse, that too will be dropped from their product line. The GigaPulse ran a record 1-month with support from Tascam.

Oh man we are soooooooooooo bored waiting for Tascam...

yeah Lee I guess you were right about your prediction of the Tascam site staying down after it first went down, because of all the negative post scaring away new customers.
That looks to be the case.

This just in ,the reason for Tascams silence has been uncovered.
It has been revealed that most of Tascams tech support and Managment team used to work for the KGB.
Pass it on but say it quitely.

When I heard about gigacube I called Pete Snell, marketing director for giga and he hadn\'t heard of it. my understanding is that this was an independent product not tascam\'s. FYI, while tascam does make an audio card, it\'s tdif and only works with specific boards and AD/DA\'s.

But killing GigaPulse? what is your source for that statement?

The review article in the
Magazine says TASCAM Gigacube.
It is or was[if they just dropped it] a Tascam product.

Isn\'t Gigacube just a Taiwanese graphics card manufacturer?

<font size=\"2\" face=\"Verdana, Arial\">Was this Computer & Music (or some similar title) published in europe? If so, my understanding from the US office is that they got their facts wrong.

Also, GigaPulse is CLEARLY promoted on the tascam web site. Unless you have a Tascam pr release announcing that it\'s been discontinued, you\'re unfortunately spreading misinformation, even with the best of intentions.
