I did listen to both of your postings, the Country side more than once.
What you are producing is incredibly good, but I think I don't have to tell you, you know.
I could almost hear Copland, and I mean this as a high compliment, not that you are "like" Copland.
Do you ( since your picture is with a trumpet) play in some? The best sounding orchestra you have, and your skill of orchestrating, rendering, the great melodies is truly unique.
Whenever you'll be posting, I'll listen.
Congratulation and BRAVO.
Thanks for listening! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for you kind words; your compliments are high praise indeed, and I'm very grateful. Copland is a great source of inspiration for me, and I'm honored that some of that has come through. I am a symphonic and jazz trumpet player, but unfortunately I do not have the equipment nor the expertise to combine live playing with my sampled orchestra. All the instruments I use in these recordings are samples from Garritan Personal Orchestra and Garritan Instruments for Finale. I'm glad you've enjoyed my posts. Thanks
Ted is right, this is a very good composition. Well balanced, equilibrated in scoring and instrumentation, well rendered. You have a fine imagination and talent for orchestral colouring! It displays a true master at work, with a rich imagination, a fine sense for emotion and character. I really enjoyed the listen. I hope you will post more of these quality pieces.
Did you place all your violins (I and II) to the left?
